I am thrilled to be announcing a new brand arrival to The Creative Toy Shop and it is a range I have been wanting to add for a while now. 

All of Fox Wood Co products are designed and made in Australia using sustainably sourced wood and are designed to develop gross motor skills. They are perfect for indoor play and come in different sizes to suit all homes. 

You might be asking what is or who is Pikler?

Emmi Pikler was a Hungarian paediatrician who was an early childhood pioneer in the 1930's and 40's. One of her many areas of dedicated academic work, was on motor development in babies and children and she believed it was important to offer kids free movement, uninterrupted play and the opportunities to move naturally and develop their own skills, independently. This website is a wealth of information if you are keen to find out more about her pioneering principles. 

Our arches and ladders have been specially designed using these same principles as developed by Emmi Pikler.
